Cristal's role as the Member Engagement & Peer Support Coordinator is to strengthen Recovery Beyond’s recovery community by onboarding new members, facilitating peer support systems, increasing member retention, and cultivating meaningful connections. She focuses on relationship-building, enhancing the member experience, and supporting peer-led community infrastructure.
Cristal (she/her) joined Recovery Beyond in October 2025. Her role includes member onboarding, coordinating peer support initiatives, fostering community connections, and supporting engagement strategies that promote long-term participation and recovery support.
Recovery Beyond is a perfect intersection of Cristal’s interests. She moved from California to Washington in pursuit of a bachelors degree in environmental policy at Western Washington University. After completing her degree, she spent a summer working as a forestry aid for the U.S. Forest Service in Hells Canyon.
Cristal changed her career path after finding herself in recovery and discovering her passion for behavioral health. She worked in substance abuse treatment at Northpoint. Recovery before finding her way to Recovery Beyond. She is now a WA state Certified Peer Specialist and plans to begin a SUDP program.
