Elisabeth first joined Recovery Beyond as a member in the summer of 2023 after moving from the East Coast. She quickly fell in love with the community, vision, and mission and got involved as a volunteer. Not long after, she came on board in a part-time role. She now operates full time as the Community and Peer Engagement Specialist (and Recovery Coach) focusing in Pierce and Thurston Counties.
She previously worked in NYC as a project manager, and also served as the operations specialist for Adventure Recovery, a Massachusetts based outdoor guide and coaching service, where she received her outdoor guide and coach certifications in 2022. She also attended the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Recovery Coach Academy and is a breathwork facilitator, artist, and mountaineer.
She is in long term recovery from domestic violence, sexual trauma, disordered eating and substance abuse and is passionate about recovery on all levels - mental, physical, & spiritual. She is honored to be part of this tight knit community and her goal is to spread hope and healing to everyone she meets and help them know they are NEVER alone!
She currently lives in Tacoma with her partner and enjoys being an Auntie and exploring the great outdoors whenever she can.
